The MARIA PHANGAKA TRAINING ACADEMY has been around since the year 2000. The academy was named after one of our employees who had passed away but could not be forgotten due to her dedication to Sinako cleaning services. The academy offers training to our employees and other job seekers in the cleaning industry.

The academy offers a training programme, which covers a number of topics such as:

  2. Supervisory Skills
  3. Company rules, grievances and disciplinary procedures

The Basic Industrial Cleaning Science manual is a corner stone for cleaners or job seekers in this field. The manual provides fundamentals with regards to cleaning such as:

Safety

Many of the chemicals used in industrial cleaning are harmful if used incorrectly. They can pose physical danger to health and it is important to know as much about them as possible. We need to know what the chemical hazards are before we can apply safety precautions to prevent injury to others and ourselves.

Cost

The cost of industrial chemicals and labour can be expensive. That is why we have to know which chemicals to use, what the correct dilution is and which chemicals could cause damage to certain surfaces.

Specialist treatment

Some surfaces need special care and treatment and if we are not well informed about these treatments, damage could occur.

Legal standards

Some areas must be cleaned to a legal standard, such as hospitals, kitchens, food preparation areas, factories, toilet areas etc. to prevent disease and the spread of disease. There are also laws, which cover the use of chemicals, machines and operating procedures that must be followed.

Supervisory Skills
The Supervisor´s manual entails all the supervisors´ job functions such as: -
